The Cultural Solution

For those nay Sayers who don’t believe Jesus is in control of His creation … who think its no use to attempt to move from information to reformation … from description to doing … we say, “Prove it from Scripture.”

To get a glimpse of what the Lord has “laid up for us,” consider the following Scriptural insights. A psalmist tells us “the earth has been given to man” (Psalm 115.16) and we are to “subdue it,” (Genesis 1.26-28; 9.1-4) and “rule from sea to sea, to the ends of the earth.” (Psalm 22.27; 72.8) David adds we have been created to “rule over the works of God’s hands” and that “everything has been put under our feet.” (Psalm 8.3-8) Since the earth is Jesus’ domain, He commands us to “makes disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey everything He has commanded us.” (Matthew 28.18-20) In other words, each of us has a very important calling: to be “doers of the Word.” (James 1.22)
