The Christian Prince is Timely and Relevant.

There are two exposed areas in our generation that has damaged the Church's vision and mission. We have lost the concept of Biblical worldview and have surrendered our history to revisionists. Combined with the Church's fascination with theological escapism and subsequent cultural corruption, America's future now hangs in the balance. In the midst of this fray that cries for reformation enters one Buddy Hanson. The Christian Prince, provides the much needed premises, presuppositions, and first principles that the Church has in recent years abandoned to the enemies of the cross."

Jesus stated, "It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God (Luke 4:4b)." Hanson correctly believes that God’s Word is the supreme authority for all of mankind, not just Christians. Like the Apostle Paul, Buddy teaches that Jesus Christ is to have preeminence in all things (Colossians 1:18). All things includes civil government. Far too many in the Church view this as a foreign concept today. This explains why many in the Church justify divided allegiances, accommodate different worldviews, and honor different moral codes that stand in opposition to God’s revealed Word. This is our error and spiritual illness. The Christian Prince is a part of God's cure and correction. Read it, love it, and live it to uphold the crown rights of King Jesus and to spread His Kingdom amongst men and nations.

The Christian Prince explains how we can put “civil” back into civil government, and how America can once again attract others-focused statesmen to serve as our representatives, instead of the self-centered politicians with whom we are so familiar.

Buddy Hanson fires a shot across the bow of the modern/humanist state, reminding Christians and non-Christians alike that the battle over politics really is about God's ways vs. man's ways. This book plows up ground that has been lying fallow for decades, and calls for God's people to embrace an explicitly Christian approach to politics."

BLT [Bottom Line Theology] will not only serve as an effective tool for parents to use in their family devotionals, but can also be used by a Bible or Sunday school teacher to “quick study” or “quick prepare” these important topics and teach them effectively without going through the toil that would be required of most people who want to present material of such high quality. The fact that it is laid out in 13 principles makes it conducive to be used in the standard quarter system that organizes most American Sunday School plans.

Buddy has a passion for helping God's people develop and put their Christian world life view into their everyday walk. You will find that Buddy has used substantially only portions of God's Word to assist you in filling out your knowledge about a particular topic. Buddy has used a principal text along with related portions of scripture; thus, using scripture to assist you in understanding scripture. Bottom Line Theology also helps promote true worship, ' . . . for the Father seeks such to worship Him.' By God's grace, this tool will assist you in growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and help you correctly and rightfully respond to the self-revelation of our great Creator Savior who bore our sins in His own body on the cross that we might be dead unto sin and alive under righteousness and with whose stripes we are healed.

The Scriptures are the greatest blessing and resource we have, for in them we not only find the Gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ alone, but also how that Gospel applies to every area of life. Every true believer, by the grace of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, not only sees the law of God as the revealer of his sin, but also as that which reflects the holiness of God. Therefore, out of thankfulness to Lord for his salvation, a true believer will seek to live and govern himself according to the precepts set forth in Scripture. The problem is finding where that most valuable information appears in the Bible. Buddy Hanson has done a great service in Bottom Line Theology by organizing Bible study according to 13 Biblical Principles (topics) so you can study the various topics in the order of their importance to you. This is a great learning and discipling tool for the entire family and one which conforms to whatever amount of time you have available. Get it. Use it. You’ll be blessed by it!

The old adage “keep your eye on the ball” is important. When I was coaching we taught that to all of our players, but we took it one step further by teaching them to read their keys. Different positions had different keys, but knowing what to look for made it less likely that you could be tricked. For instance:

• Linebackers were taught to watch the offensive guards. The guards almost always took you where the ball was going. Read the guard, and then find the ball.
• Cornerbacks were taught to read the belly-button of the receiver. Head fakes were a sure way to get fooled. It is hard to fake with your hips. The belly-button always takes you to where the receiver is going.
• We taught safeties to read the helmet of the offensive tackle. If the helmet rose up at the snap, it was a pass. If the helmet stayed down it was a run. Read the helmet, find the ball.
• The lineman was taught to read the man over him. If the guy over the top of you didn’t block you then beware of the “trap,” You can rest assured; someone is going to block you. If the guard pulls, follow himâ¦remember, the guard will take you to the ball. When in doubt, stay home and close the gap. Beware of false keys.

Seems pretty simple and basic doesn’t it? Invariably, however, someone will fail to read the keys and will instead take the fake and that can lead to a touchdown for the other team. Today, it seems that non-Christians are scoring all of the cultural touchdowns and we need to quickly turn that around. This is why I am excited about Buddy Hanson’s Making Your Daily READS. He categorizes the various objections to Christianity in five “Audibles” and assists you in building your own response. What’s even better is that there is only one to do for each week. This means that you can get a thorough handle on 52 common objections during the course of one year. There is even a short course in apologetics in the Appendix. This book is great for adults and teenagers and can be a perfect addition to your family’s Quiet Time.

Before we can expect to turn our culture around, we must turn ourselves and our families around, and Making Your 52 Daily READS will help you to do just than by being ready “in season and out” to defend your faith. (2 Timothy 4.2)

The incorporation of Christian principles by Civil Rulers (both legislators and judges) ushered in the truth that citizens should be judged by laws instead of by the whims of people. That solid truth is in danger of becoming an empty truism. The Christian Civil Ruler’s Handbook calls us back to the truth. It is must reading for every legislator and judge.

Just as it is necessary for an individual to repent of sin and replace it with godly (holy) behavior, so it is necessary for a nation to admit and repent of its past serving of false religions and turn to an exclusive commitment to God and His law Word. Our Lord, Savior, and King never intends for Christianity to be a cafeteria-style religion where people go through life’s line picking and choosing which parts of His Word to live by according to whether those parts conform to their own self-centered desires.

Christians will continue to lose the culture war until we FRAME the debates according to biblical principles. The issue is not between Democrats and Republicans, or conservatives and liberals, but between Christian and non-Christian ideas. Hanson is right-on with his FRAME acronym:

Exit Strategy is a valuable tool for equipping believers for, and helping them maintain an effective Christian witness. Buddy Hanson emphasizes the importance of having a consistent Biblical worldview, and also explains what this means for us practically. Christians need to be reminded of their responsibility to both proclaim the good news of the Gospel to the lost, and apply God’s truth to every area of life. May this book have a hand in helping us all be more zealously focused and consistent in our high calling.

Buddy Hanson recognizes that many modern evangelicals are completely ignoring the apostle’s command. They think and act no differently than the world around them. So he has written EXIT Strategy to issue a much needed challenge to modern Christians. If you want to learn to think and live more biblically, this book will help you to do so.

Buddy has done a great service for the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. For decades now the Church has been losing its impetus to go into the world and transform it according to the law-word of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Why? Because of the failure of our churches to teach that we serve a God Who reigns over all areas of life, and that we are called to take dominion in all areas for Christ.

Buddy not only explains the reason God saves us, but explains the responsibilities God's elect have to turn their world right-side-up for Christ. This book is not only a resource for those new to the faith, but for those in the Church who have lost their way because of the famine of the Word of God in our land. Thank you Buddy.

We must fear God, not man, and speak the truth, as Hanson has done, without fear of popular or political consequence.

Christian children deserve a Christian education, but is the “Christian” education that your child is receiving a complete one? It is if he or she is learning how to incorporate the biblical principles they learn into their daily decision-making. This is one of the most reader-friendly, yet thorough, treatments of God's Law in Scripture and why (and how) we need to follow it that I have seen. Several great Christian minds -- R.J. Rushdoony, Dr. Greg Bahnsen, Dr. Coneilius Van Til -- paved the way in the twentieth century with their more scholarly works. This book takes all the best of those earlier works, puts it in easy-to-digest form and sacrifices no hard-hitting substance in doing so. This is a book for all evangelicals to read.

In what is becoming his Modus Operandi Buddy Hanson has provided us with another usable volume that presents the tenets of the historic, reformed faith in a way that’s makes theological reading enjoyable. Jam-packed with Scriptures and footnotes, What’s Scripture Got To Do With It? makes a great tool for personal or small group study.

Buddy Hanson provides useful and practical guidelines for developing and applying a biblical worldview to the modern culture with his new book, What’s Scripture Got To Do With It? Using a connect-the-dot approach Buddy outlines why our culture needs to embrace the Bible as the basis for faith and practice. His God-centered look at life is a welcome change from the humanistic understanding of the world embraced by our culture and, unfortunately, much of the Church today. I will find his work most helpful in teaching my children to live by a biblical worldview. I recommend What’s Scripture Got To Do With It? to anyone seeking to live and exemplify a biblical worldview to our secular world.
